Here is everything YOU missed on RAW 25 the 25th anniversary celebration of Monday Night Raw !!!! Featuring The Miz, Seth Rollins, Jeff Hardy and The Nature Boy Ric Flair!!!!
Monday Night Raw’s twenty fifth anniversary show was a show that wanted to be old school and also the new generation, but ended up a hodgepodge of both.
The show aired from The Manhattan Center which featured the old school wrestlers , and The Barclays Center which featured the new generation of wrestlers.
The show started out with the promising return of Vince Mcmahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin at The Barclays Center. The beginning of the show should have started at The Manhattan Center, as that was the venue where it all began twenty five years ago.
After the opening viewers were treated to action mostly from The Barclays Center and not too much from the much heralded Manhattan Center. There was really no reason but greed, for the WWE to have the show from two venues, if they were just going to use The Manhattan Center for a Undertaker and DX promo and a few throw away matches.
The WWE should have just used The Manhattan Center for the whole Raw, with JR and The King on the announce team and Howard Finkel as the ring announcer, then it would be a truly memorable event with a old school feel.
The problem I had with the show, was the lack of interaction between the new and the old school wrestlers. The WWE should have had Steve Austin as the special Raw GM for the night, with a DX takeover during the night. The WWE had so many missed opportunities that could have been unfortunately. They could have had a the new age outlaws vs The Bar or something that would have had the old school vs the new generation of RAW. Just a lot of missed opportunities with the show. Hopefully WWE steps it up with the upcoming Royal Rumble on Sunday night. !!!!!
Monday night WE celebrate the 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw on the USA Network. I have been a big fan of Raw , since the very first show at The Manhattan Center in NYC. Here are some of THE BEST clips from Raw’s 25 years!!! I’ve been to many Raw’s the first one’s at MSG and the first one’s at The Barclay Center. I have been to the Raw after Mania and Raw after Summerslam. It’s always been a great time!!!
This past February, Bill Simmons announced he had teamed up with WWE, HBO Sports and producer/director Jason Hehir to create a documentary about former wrestler, actor and larger-than-life personality Andre the Giant.
On Friday, HBO tweeted an official trailer for the piece.
The quick look at Andre the Giant includes brief snippets of in-ring action from the former champion’s historic wrestling career. It also describes his “mythological” stature as an athlete and famous figure.
Per HBO, the film will debut next spring.
This is how you build up in WWE. John Cena schools Roman Reigns at Monday Night Raw. It is great to see the WWE building up slowly the Roman character. This promo will do it. It’s going to be interesting to see where WWE goes with Roman after this. Can Roman keep up and can Cena pass the torch to Roman???? Cena Vs. Reigns happens at No Mercy in September!!
Last night, WWE presented its summer show Summerslam LIVE at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York. The show was a solid show throughout, with a really strong and exciting kick off match with The New Day Vs. The Usos. The Usos are new Smackdown Tag Team champions, but both teams fought tough. Other highlights of the card was the Sheamus/Cesaro Vs. Ambrose/Rollins which I really enjoyed and we got NEW Raw champions with Ambrose/Rollins. The Fatal four way, was a fun and good match. Braun Stroman is a MONSTER, as he threw the announce desk on the helpless Brock Lesnar. I can’t wait to see these two in the ring together. Here are some video highlights of the night :
Well it’s that time of year again…Time for WWE Summerslam, the WWE event of the summer. This years Summerslam takes place again at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York. This is the third year that Summerslam is coming from The Barclays Center. I like the buildup of this event, as it feels like a big event feel. The card is stacked and I think we are going to get a really good show. Here are my predictions , of what is going to go down tonight. Join us HERE tomorrow for our Summerslam Recap!!!
