Second Nature The New Book By Ric and Charlotte Flair Out Today!!!

On September 19th the long awaited new book by Ric Flair and his daughter Charlotte Flair hits bookstores everywhere.

For the first time ever, WWE’s illustrious father-daughter duo “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Charlotte come together to tell their legendary story.

Ric Flair is a 16-time World Champion and two-time WWE Hall of Fame Inductee. His four-decades long career is recognized as one of the greatest of all time, but with success comes a price. Despite his effortless brilliance in front of the cameras, his life away from the cameras includes personal struggles, controversy and family tragedy. Through his bond with Charlotte, he’s becoming the father he needs to be while rediscovering the legend he has always been.

Charlotte grew up in the shadow of her famous father, “the dirtiest player in the game,” but now she is poised to take the Flair name to new heights. As the inaugural WWE Women’s Champion, Charlotte has had an impressive career, and she’s just getting started. With the (dare we say it) flair of the “Nature Boy” running through her blood, Charlotte is destined for greatness. Find out how she embraced her heritage and battled her own challenges through her rise to the top of WWE.

For these two Champions, sports entertainment is simply SECOND NATURE.

Wrestlemania Memories Pt. 1 (Videos)

With Wrestlemania 33 only days away , its time to relive Wrestlemania memories and I have a lot of memories through the years . We will have a different Wrestlemania memory all this week leading up to our Wrestlemania Predictions . Here are the memories of Wrestlemania 1 :

Wrestlemania had the best buildup of any event in history, they stretched it out and just the buildup was epic. The whole thing with Cyndi Lauper and the Rock N Wrestling connection , it made wrestling cool again .

Hulk Hogan and Mr. T even hosted Saturday Night Live , the night before the big event. There was just so much news and excitement with this event, something not seen ever before .  They even had wrestling on MTV, which then was the hottest thing in the universe.

Unfortunately I didn’t have cable back then in New York, Cablevision was being a bitch with hooking up parts of New York and the boroughs. So I had to call a 976 number every few hours to get up to date results, 976 was our internet back then lol. I had to watch Wrestlemania 1 the next day , as a friend who had cable recorded it on VHS for me. Couldn’t wait to watch all the excitement.

The matches I most remember from the first Wrestlemania were Andre The Giant Vs. Big John Studd  and Piper n Orton Vs. Hogan and Mr. T.  The Andre match was good as Andre was the first person to slam the unslamable Big John Studd . The Hogan match was just epic and a good way to finish the storyline with Piper and also build up Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorf. Here are some highlights of Wrestlemania 1 :

Remembering George Steele & Ivan Koloff !!!!

This has been a bad weekend for old school wrestling fans with the deaths of Nicole Bass, George “The Animal” Steele and The Russian Bear Ivan Koloff. Nicole Bass was 52, George Steele was 79 and Ivan Koloff was 74.

Back in the day I was a big fan of both George Steele and Ivan Koloff.  George Steele with his green tongue and his crazy antics in the WWF ring were things of legend. I first saw George Steele live at Madison Square Garden vs. Bob Backlund, and with classic George he was hitting Backlund with some sort of foreign object. Of course the referee never saw it, and Backlund grabbed the object in front of the referee and got disqualified in typical WWF fashion. George was a legend and I even had his action figure and his little green tongued teddy bear “Mine”. R.I.P George Steele and thanks for the memories.

Koloff was the first evil Russian and went all the way to the WWE championship by beating Bruno Samartino and ending Brunos long title reign. Koloff only had the title for 21 days until losing it to Pedro Morales.  Koloff was rough and tough and a true legend.

Here are some of the best of George and Ivan :

Remembering The Superfly (Videos)

comiccon2015Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka is the one who got me into loving pro wrestling. His story as the islander taken advantage by his manager Lou Albano and turning from a bad guy to a good guy got me into this new world of pro wrestling. Jimmy Snuka was electrifying in the ring and he really connected with the fans pretty much like Daniel Bryan in the modern era. He was always the underdog fighting to the top. What got me into wrestling was when Ray “The Crippler” Stevens attacked Superfly Snuka outside the ring and piledrived him on the concrete. Once I saw this I was a wrestling superfan for life.

Superfly Snuka was involved in many great matches and one of the best cage matches ever happened in Madison Square Garden in 1983 with Superfly Snuka facing The Intercontinental Champion The Magnificent Don Muraco. The match is a part of history, as a young Mick Foley was watching in the crowd, and then after this match decided this is what he wanted to do….

Another Superfly Snuka rivalry was with the one and only Rowdy Roddy Piper, and this led to Snuka being the outside enforcer at Wrestlemania 1 when Hulk Hogan and Mr. T took on Paul “Mr Wonderful Orndorff and Rowdy Roddy Piper….Here is a Piper’s Pit that is part of history.

I saw Superfly Snuka wrestle many times LIVE at Madison Square Garden once teaming up with Andre The Giant taking on The Wild Samoans Afa and Sika . Snuka climbed on Andre’s shoulders and jumped off onto Afa in this match. But the most memorable time was at The Royal Rumble 2008 at Madison Square Garden when Superfly Snuka and Rowdy Roddy Piper got to fight again. A amazing rivalry back in MSG.

So many memories of a superstar I grew up watching . Superfly passed away on January 15 2017 but his legacy and memory will live on forever. I have many great memories of my favorite wrestler and if I can say anything to the Superfly is just Thank you.  Here are some awesome Jimmy Superfly Snuka memorabilia :

Survivor Series 2016 The Countdown Is On (Videos)

The 2016 version of one of the bigger shows of the year The Survivor Series is coming up on November 20th. And this year, they are not promoting it as much, probably due to all the other shows that the brands are promoting. I remember and miss when The Survivor Series was a Thanksgiving night tradition, with that it made you look forward to something to watch on Thanksgiving night.

This years Survivor Series has a stacked card as its Smackdown Vs. Raw with traditional Survivor Series rules and also the main event Goldberg Vs. Lesnar, which hopefully will be good and better than their last Wrestlemania match.

I hope the WWE puts a little more excitement with this week’s shows into The Survivor Series 2016. For now, i’m like EH just another PPV and it should be WOW The Survivor Series is coming…Here are some previews of this years Survivor Series and all this week we will have THE BEST of Survivor Series over the years.

Paige Proposes To Alberto Del Rio (Video)

WWE suspended Diva Paige asks former WWE superstar Alberto Del Rio’s hand in marriage in the middle of a wrestling ring. Paige and Del Rio are becoming the new “It couple” and its a strange pairing but whatever floats their boat. I doubt we will see Paige back in a WWE ring , I think as soon as her suspension is over we are going to get the customary wish you the best in your future endeavors Paige.  But the WWE can swerve and bring back both Del Rio and Paige and do some kind of good wrestling angle where she is his manager. Time will tell what happens to that happy couple. Congratulations to the happy couple. Here is the video of Paige on her knees :

Alberto El Patron WCPW Debut Promo (Video)

Once again former WWE superstar and world champion Alberto Del Rio has left the WWE for WCPW and is using the name Alberto El Patron. Del Rio had two run with the WWE and the second run was a dud, as the WWE didn’t know what to do with him. The WWE tried to put him in the League Of Nations team but that ended with a dud also. Del Rio is a very talented superstar and I hope they treat him well in WCPW and wherever he ends up next. But if those don’t work out he always has WWE diva Paige to come home too….Lucky lucky man…..
